Memo to Tory MP’s:
If you are going to split up with your wife and get yourself arrested following a “domestic incident”, try to make sure you have not given her enough political ammunition to sink your career. Amongst a series of classic quotes, Lucy Pelling says of her husband:
“He slagged off Cameron and shadow Chancellor George Osborne saying the party was being led by an old Etonian boys club He doesn’t believe Cameron can win the election”.
